The road
The adventure awaits us at “Estancia María Marcela”. We are located a few kilometers from the city of San Salvador de Jujuy in the province of Jujuy in northern Argentina.
The first thing is to cross the San Martín bridge that connects the city center with the Chijra neighborhood; Leaving the bridge you have to continue along “Las Vicuñas” avenue.
Then going up Las Vicuñas Avenue you enter Provincial Route N°35, starting from the point where the asphalt ends and a “consolidated” road begins.
From there follow the route until Km 31, where we are located
Shortly after following the route, the Cuesta de Barro Blanco begins, the first bridge you cross is "Arroyo La Cuesta”.
Following the path you will cross the Barro Blanco stream.
About 5 minutes later you will cross the small town of Tilquiza, where you will easily distinguish the school, on the left bank of the Tilquiza river.
After this point, you cross the Tilquiza River bridge.
5 km from this bridge is the Payo River bridge.
ATENCION! a 2,5 Km el camino se bifurca.
You will have to take the path to the right to reach “Membrillos”, where we are.
An interesting panoramic point is the Abra de Machula, at this point you are 7 km from us. From there you go down the Cuesta de Machula to the Payo river.
After the bridge, the Machula slope begins, and right where this 4 km slope ends we are waiting for you.
When there is 1 km to go you will find the sign that marks the beginning of the town of Los Membrillos.
When there are about 200 meters to go and after a sharp curve, you will see this landscape.
After the curve seen in the background, the Cuesta Larga ends, and we will wait for you there.
The sign you see in the background says – ESTANCIA MARIA MARCELA – and through that gate you enter the grocery store, about 50 meters before the gate, and on the left you can easily see our facilities.
